Zoom, also known as Hunter Zolomon, is a supervillain appearing in DC Comics, primarily as an adversary of the Flash.
He first appeared in The Flash: Secret Files and Origins #3 in November 2001. Zoom isn't merely fast; he manipulates time relative to himself, appearing to move at superhuman speeds. This grants him abilities such as phasing through objects and generating sonic booms.
The CW adaptation of Zoom is portrayed differently. He appears in the second season of The Flash TV show as Hunter Zolomon (played by Teddy Sears), a speedster from Earth-2 who terrorizes Central City. He is revealed to be a psychotic serial killer who seeks to steal the Flash's speed for himself to become the only speedster in the multiverse.
